Attempts to access mail.metronet.co.uk via IMAP or POP3 are timing out. This will cause problems for any customer attempting to collect email using an @metronet.co.uk address. Using the incoming server address pop.metronet.co.uk will work but customers have never been advised to use this.

If you were logged in to the portal, you could associate your username with this problem.

Problem has been passed to a Network Engineer for investigation. In the interim customers should be able to use the incoming server address pop.metronet.co.uk to collect their email.

A problem has been identified with one of the servers used to route customers to the mail collection servers. This server has since been rebooted and service has been restored.
