We are currently investigating a sharp increase in spam email hitting our network. We have taken the decision to raise a Priority 1 problem whilst we investigate better solutions to combat spam for customers in general. It is therefore our immediate focus to reduce the impact spam messages are having on our customers as best we can.

Problem is assigned to our Networks Team for further investigation. Staff across the Business are engaged in this as a priority.

Following some high-level meetings today we have identified a plan of action and additional items to help us combat spam. We will continue to treat the inconvenience of spam email extremely seriously and will be making customers aware of our future plans in due course.

This Priority 1 problem will now be closed.
