Problem: [47679] Email between PlusNet accounts being marked as spam Status: Closed
Problem description Added on: 02/11/2007 @ 09:33

There are an increasing number of customers on the forums reporting that email being sent between PlusNet VISP accounts is going missing. In many of these cases the customer has the spam filter configured to delete email. This combined with reports from a customer that email sent between accounts is getting marked as spam suggests that the dspam filters are tagging an inordinate amount of local email deliveries.

The spam filters are currently being retrained with clean emails in order to try to resolve this issue.

We have seen a further example of this issue this morning, so have reassigned this problem to our network engineers for further investigation.

Comment updated on: 03/11/2007 @ 13:39

Our network engineer is currently performing some retraining on the spam filter in order to rectify this problem.

Comment updated on: 05/11/2007 @ 08:01

Despite the retraining of the filters, further testing suggests that this is still causing problems and the spam filter is still aggressively marking some email between accounts as [-SPAM-]. We are continuing to investigate.

The latest period of training appears to have reduced the number of false positives. Problems is being downgraded to allow for further monitoring.
