At about 12.15pm the CSC call queues rocketed. This seemed to be from customers who had lost data transfer. Affected users seemed to be those using the DNS caches at our PCL data centre.

If you were logged in to the portal, you could associate your username with this problem.

Problem passed to network engineer for investigation.

Problem is related to the load balancer upgrade -

We've disabled access to the DNS platform at PCL and all requests are now being routed to the working site.

Customers should no longer be affected. Continuing to Investigate root cause.

We've identified a problem with the failover procedure. Going to remedy this and proceed with the upgrade.
